Autoimmune Triggers Worksheet

Welcome Lichen Sclerosus Support Network Members and Podcast Listeners!

The likelihood of developing an autoimmune disease is based on 25% genetic makeup and 75% environmental factors. 

We are unable to alter our genetic makeup, but we can absolutely control their expression by focusing on the other 75%. There are seven main environmental triggers influencing autoimmunity.

Once you have developed an autoimmune disease, it's very likely you will continue to collect them as time goes on if you have not uncovered and addressed your triggers.

Your physician may prescribe medication to suppress the immune system, but this is temporary relief of symptoms and does not address the root cause of immune dysfunction. Whether or not you choose to accept a prescription medication, it is critical that you also put on your detective hat and investigate the reason your immune system is dysfunctioning in order to restore your health.
