We've covered non-toxic face sunscreens, but when it comes to the cold, a heavier product is required. Don't get left out in the cold this winter, check out these non-toxic face moisturizers!

With winter comes the warm scarves, fluffy snow, and, unfortunately, dry skin. Of all our body parts the face takes the most punishment from harsh winter weather conditions because it is always exposed. Chapped noses, cheeks, and foreheads don't look or feel all that great.

Don't worry! Help is on the way. No, you don't have to wear a veil or don a goofy-looking ski mask. All you have to do is care for your skin by investing in a good quality moisturizer. There are plenty of skin creams meant for winter weather on the market, but not all of them are made with great ingredients.

This list details my top non-toxic face moisturizers that are made with high-quality ingredients you can trust. Plus, they'll help keep your skin comfortable and glowing during the winter season.

Trilogy - Organic Rosehip Seed Oil

When it comes to keeping skin hydrated and looking youthful, rosehip seed oil does both. This luxurious oil is perfect for adding to your winter skincare routine because it literally locks moisture into the cells of your skin. Not only can this oil be used on your face, but you can also dab it on the rest of your body when wanting to improve the appearance of scars and stretch marks.

Unlike other moisturizers, the rosehip seed oil is easily absorbed into the skin. It's perfect for use both in the morning and at night. Use it during the AM to protect your skin from cold, brutal winter air and use it in the PM to rehydrate and calm skin.

Trilogy Organic Rosehip Seed Oil is excellent for all skin types. It's packed full of nourishing vitamin C and essential fatty acids which are excellent at combatting dry skin.

Kari Gran - Essential Balm Organic Moisturizer

This balm is truly something you'll want to dip your fingers into this winter. Even better yet, your face will be craving the rich, creamy texture of what this product has to offer. Kari Gran Balm is made with high-quality, organic ingredients, specifically camellia seed oil.

What's so special about camellia seed oil? It contains high levels of oleic acid that soothes and moisturizes skin like nobody's business. To complement the effects of the camellia seed oil, this balm is also formulated with Sea Buckthorn Extract which is loaded with skin-loving antioxidants.

You might be thinking that a balm will be way too thick and heavy for your face, and that may be true for some brands. However, Kari Gran has formulated this balm to spread smoothly over the skin like butter. This balm will bust those winter skin blues to the moon.

S.W. Basics - Organic Cream Face Moisturizer

If you are prone to sensitive skin issues and are looking for a winter face cream that contains very basic and to-the-point ingredients, this product has you covered. S.W. Basics have gone directly to the source of moisturization in terms of oils.

This (cute) little jar contains just three powerhouse ingredients: Organic shea, butter, organic coconut oil, and organic extra virgin olive oil. The website describes this combination as the "mother of all S.W. Basics products," and we can see why.

There is no water in this product, so you won't find it evaporating off your face as soon as you apply it. Shea butter, coconut, and olive oil are known for holding moisture into the skin, even on your driest days. Cold winds, snow, ice, and other wintry mixes don't stand a chance.

Honey Girl Organics - USDA Certified Organic Face & Eye Moisturizer

Honey has been used for thousands of years as a skin protectant and healer. It's no wonder that this face cream by Honey Girl Organics made our list. We can't think of anything more soothing to slather onto sore, chapped winter-beaten skin than this product.

In addition to honey, the cream contains beeswax, propolis, bee pollen, royal jelly, and extra virgin olive oil. Honestly, we don't think there is anything other than the bees themselves that have been left out of this cream. It's a veritable hive of hydration.

Each ingredient is fantastic for combating skin disorders, dryness, and warding off the effects of Old Man Winter. Not only does this Super Skin Food cream protect your skin but it also works wonders for around the eye area.

Avalon Organics - Intense Vitamin C Oil-Free Moisturizer

Just because it is winter doesn't mean that we can forget to protect our skin from the sun. This affordable Avalon Organics face moisturizer wards off UV rays while keeping your skin supple and hydrated.

You'll find this cream to be free of oil, so there isn't any worry of breakouts if you have acne-prone skin. There are many essential oils and botanicals in this plant-based formulation. What you won't find are synthetic dyes, parabens, phthalates, sulfates, or fragrances.

Avalon Organics face cream is packed full of vitamin C to keep skin feeling smooth, healthy, and wrinkle-free, especially during the colder months when skin tends to be drier. This product is excellent for those who deal with sensitive skin and want a lightweight cream that sits well under makeup.

Nourish Your Skin with Great Moisturizers This Winter

We hope you found this list helpful! It's never too late to start nourishing your skin. When winter rears its icy head be prepared with an arsenal of non-toxic face moisturizers.
