Weight loss progress
26 Pounds & 2 Jeans Sizes Down!

I'm just about halfway to my weight loss goal!

Since October 25, 2009, I have lost a total of 26lbs, almost 2 sizes in jeans, and my percent body fat has come down to 37.8% from 45%.  I'll take that as weight loss progress!

Now I seem to be stuck here, but at least I got here right! My ultimate goal is to get down to 160lbs from a whopping 220lbs. I was wearing a size 18 pair of jeans and now I can fit a very snug 14. So I opt for breathing and wear very baggy 16.

I'm only 5'3''!

If you check out these pictures, I seem to have lost a lot more in inches then in pounds. So I suspect I carry more muscle than the average bear which works for me because I dig muscle! The more muscle I have the better my metabolism works and the less effort I have to think about. I'm crossing my fingers that this will make maintenance a little bit easier because screw losing it if you can't keep it off!

I'm excited to see progress, even though it's very slow. I am affected by the dreaded hypothyroidism and adrenal fatigue so I'm just happy to get any loss at this rate! If you have a healthy metabolism it's not unusual to see up to a 60lb loss in six months if you are super strict, stay on plan, and exercise. It's taken me five months to lose 26lbs, I doubt I'll lose the other 35 in the next month. I think I'm a slow loser and I will admit I have cheated on occasion.

I feel much better. I have more energy, my mood has improved, my skin, hair, and nails have improved. My blood pressure has come down, the random pain in my knees has gone away, I'm sleeping deeper, and that awful heartburn is gone! Some of this I will attribute to getting my thyroid medication stabilized, but most of it is due to the dietary changes I have undergone. Primal Blueprint baby!

Ok, now for a confession...

I haven't been exercising, GASP! I've been a lazy couch potato. Not bad right? Weight loss progress is totally possible with dietary changes alone.

Great JOB@! I am in the same boat started at 256 am down to 203 started in a snug 22 and am down to a 16 and I have hypothyroidism and general laziness LOL. Occasionally I cheat or have something not low carb but life is life. I am striving to lose weight for health reasons but the added bonus of looking and feeling better outweighs bread and sugar most of the time! 🙂
