Avocados aren’t just for savory dishes. They’re great in desserts as well. I’ve seen them used in chocolate pudding and flourless brownie recipes. So I figured, why not use them in a fudgesicle? Only I decided to change up the flavors and created a coconut avocado creamsicle that turned out really great!
Here’s a really cool looking treat that I found not too long ago, Sea Glass Jello. It’s a fun and funky treat that was really easy to make low-carb once I found a sugar-free sweetened condensed milk substitute.
I love guacamole! There’s nothing quite like fresh guacamole made table-side at an authentic Mexican restaurant. So good and it’s actually really simple to make at home! I make homemade guacamole at least once a week.
There’s no real replacement for the all-mighty potato, but these celery root french fries are a pretty good snack. I am a serious potato addict! Mashed, baked, scalloped, roasted, hashed, chipped, and especially french fried. I love the potato in so many ways, but while eating low carb or keto, these guys are a wee […]
Dark meat chicken, is the best chicken! I just love dark meat and crispy skin on my chicken. I mean, if I’m really honest, most of the time I just want the skin and could care less about the meat. This crispy chicken leg quarters recipe is a staple in our house. I think you’ll love […]
Have you ever tried green olive tuna salad? It sounds crazy right? Who in the world would put green olives in their tuna salad!? I did and I’m not mad about it! I am on a serious tuna kick at the moment. It seems to be my go-to lunchtime craving lately and I’ve been experimenting […]
Who says squash is boring? I know, I would totally rather have a big fat basket of real french fries…but these summer squash fries actually work to kill that craving. Squash makes for a (surprisingly) tasty snack when you’re thinking about reaching for the fries or chips! Give these summer squash fries a try the […]
I’m constantly on the hunt for new side dishes! I particularly love veggie side dishes. There just never seem to be enough options and every now and then we kinda get tired of the same old roasted veggies. This tangy coleslaw recipe is the perfect solution to side dish monotony! I’ve actually never been a […]
Mmmm, this lemon pepper romaine ribs salad side dish is so delicious. I can’t get enough. The fresh crispy romaine lettuce leaves and the salty and sour lemon pepper vinaigrette. It’s the perfect side to serve alongside any fatty cut of meat or fish.
This lemon pepper vinaigrette is my go-to salad dressing. It’s salty, tangy, and so delicious on fresh crisp greens. It’s also a cinch to whip up in minutes from staple ingredients that can be found in most kitchens.
Parsnip chips are a great snack for folks who miss potato chips. Whether you’re sensitive to nightshades or cutting down on your carbohydrates, you may be missing potatoes. I know I miss them every now and then.
Have you ever had cornish game hens? They’re awesome! I totally get it. After a long day at the office…maybe a Monday…the last thing you want to do is make a full dinner. Lucky for us we have lots of options. The hardest part about eating well without a ton of prep and ingredients to […]
These low-carb peanut butter balls are awesome to have on-hand when you need something sweet to kill a craving. They’re satiating and just sweet enough to take care of any sweet craving in no time! I don’t know about you, but nut butter (including peanut butter) are great for killing my sugar cravings. I really […]
Like all things in this world, culinary styles also evolve. Who says cheesecake has to be sweet, these savory cheesecake bites are just as delicious. Cheesecakes from the history books were all made up of the three main ingredients: cheese, flour, and sweetener. These decadent treats were somehow made to provide a soothing balance in […]
Now that we’ve been through the history of cheesecake, let’s get to making some! This low-carb chocolate hazelnut cheesecake recipe is perfect for the holiday season. I don’t know about you, but I think fancy cheesecakes are the classic dessert for the holidays. They look beautiful on any table, they feed a crowd, and they […]
